Presentation of polimi at EOSAM 2023
Dr. Behjat Sadat Kariman from Politecnico di Milano presented the results of the microfabrication tasks of IN2SIGHT at the European Optical Society annual meeting. Her talk on “Fabrication of Plano-convex Micro-lenses using Two-Photon Polymerization for Bioimaging with Non-Linear Excitation Microscopy” was presented on 12 September 2023 at the TOM 3 Biophotonics session of the congress in Dijon (FR). https://x.com/fastgroup_ifn/status/1701965131276525876?s=20 …
New publications from In2Sight Consortium
Two new publications have been recently published from the In2Sight partners from IESL of FORTH. A review on two-photon polymerization(TPL) for Optics and Photonics at Advanced Functional Materials: This work (reachable at this link) reviews the recent progress in the TPL related optical research: it starts with the fundamentals of TPL and material formulation, then discusses novel fabrication methods, and a wide range of optical applications. A research work on high-resolution 3D printed scaffolds for cell studies at Results in Materials: This study (reachable at this link) highlights the possibility to successfully use widely-available, low cost 3dprinters for high-resolution scaffold fabrication while maintaining cell culture compatibility for biomedical applications. …
In2Sight 2-year meeting
It was the mid-term consortium meeting of the project, completing 2 years of running. On the first day, the meeting took place at the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, where the project coordinator is based. On the second day, we moved to the campus of Politecnico di Milano, where partners from the Department of Chemistry and Physics are located. We had great time with fruitful discussions about the progress of the project and brainstorming. We have also enjoyed the lab tours at the two Universities. Thank you both for hosting us these 2 days! …
New publication in Advanced Functional Materials
Our new open access article was just published in Advanced Functional Materials! “Microlenses Fabricated by Two-Photon Laser Polymerization for Cell Imaging with Non-Linear Excitation Microscopy“ Authored by: M. Marini, A. Nardini, R. Martínez Vázquez, C. Conci, M. Bouzin, M. Collini, R. Osellame, G. Cerullo, B. S. Kariman, M. Farsari, E. Kabouraki, M. T. Raimondi, G. Chirico This article shows for the first time that it is possible to use the microfabricated lenses to efficiently induce non linear excitation and collect two-photon excitation images from cells with the same level of laser intensity & similar signal to noise ratio. This is the result of a collaborative work from the In2Sight consortium led by Prof. Giuseppe Chirico:🔸 Università degli …
Unimib is hiring
Simulation of immune-reaction to biomaterials. Aim of the project: the objective of this project is to build a digital twin of the inflammatory response and fibrotic process in a foreign body reaction. With such a system validated, it will be possible to monitor continuously the evolution of the reaction by monitoring a limited set of parameters in only few timepoints. Methodology: Different strategies will be compared: ordinary differential equations models and agent based models. Public database and literature searches will be performed to compile all relevant pathways and their reaction rates. Special care will be used to integrate mechano-transduction pathways together …
New publication from In2Sight consortium
we are excited to share our new preprint at bioRxiv!“Microlenses fabricated by two-photon laser polymerisation for intravital cell imaging with non-linear excitation microscopy“ This is the results of more than 6 months of collaborative work from In2Sight partners: socials: Linkedin, twitter …
